SAFEGUARD YOURSELF FROM THE HEAT BY MEANS OF HIJAAMAH (CUPPING)
Sayyadina Anas ibn Maalik (RA) reported that the Messenger (saw) said: “When the weather becomes extremely hot, seek aid in cupping (hijama). Do not allow your blood to rage (boil) such that it kills you.” [Reported by Hakim in his ‘Mustadrak’ and he authenticated it and Imam ad-Dhahabi agreed (4/212)].
If your blood boils uncontrollably due to heat, if you feel lame or lethargic due to the heat, or you feel unnaturally hot even after attempting to cool yourself down, it means there is a problem with an overload of toxins in your blood. These toxins are preventing your skin from performing it’s natural function of releasing steam and perspiring through your skin. The answer to this is to do cupping. CUPPING is best done on the Sunnah days, but it can be done at any time of the month too due to heat, sickness, stress, tension etc. It’s a most under-utilised medical gift available to us.
