Does hijama work for internal organ detoxification as well?

_Answer:_
There is a myth about hijama that it extruds bad blood. Actually this is not 100% true. There are many detoxification theories. Hijama mostly and actually works by forming *endogenous Nitric oxide gas*.

It is also said in the hadith that the cure is in the cut of hijama. When the hajjam cuts the skin, blood vesels are injured, the internal surface of the blood vessel which is called *endothelium, produces nitric oxide as a by product of inflammation.*

This *nitric oxide has many finctions and initiates total body detoxification.*

So, yes, hijama detoxifies body.

And because blood is the *feeder of all the organs, hence Hijamah will supply a clean blood to them & organs will function better after Hijaamah.*

Whatever theories people have, we go back to the words of Hadith:

إذا هاج بأحدِكم الدمُ فلْيحتجم ، فإنَّ الدمَ إذا تبيَّغَ بصاحبِه يقتلُه

“Whenever the blood becomes rampageous / violent for a person, then he should take Hijamah, because if the blood becomes spoiled, it can kill the person.”

So we feel that *blood itself has the disease & it has to be taken out by Hijaamah, thus the Hadith explains how detoxification will be performed.*

And apart from Hijaamah, DETOX starts from cleaning the stomach with Senna & Sa’oot, it should be done every 7 to 10 days
